🚨 GBP/JPY FORECAST: BIG REVERSAL AHEAD? | Quantflow Dynamics Trading Analysis

GBP/JPY Daily Chart Analysis — Quantflow Dynamics

#GBP/JPY is trading around 210.52 on the daily timeframe. The pair has suffered a sharp decline from the 218–219 region and is now attempting to recover from a major demand zone.

My reading is that GBP/JPY is at a decision point: a short-term recovery is developing, but the wider bearish structure has not yet been convincingly reversed.

1. Quantflow Dynamics: Key signals

Buy Power: 72

The software displays stronger buying pressure than selling pressure (58). This supports the possibility of a rebound from demand, although it does not guarantee that the recovery will continue.

Demand zone: approximately 207.99–209.69

Price has reacted from this lower support area after the September sell-off. Holding this zone would strengthen the recovery case; a decisive daily breakdown would weaken it.

Bearish structure remains overhead

The falling trend lines and the previous breakdown from the 216–217 region indicate that sellers have controlled much of the recent move. The rebound needs to break resistance and establish higher highs to confirm a stronger reversal.

2. Key Quantflow price levels

Major upside target

Resistance / supply

218.20–219.60

Recovery checkpoint

213.24

Major resistance

Chart price

210.52

Demand support

209.69–208.10

Downside reference

206.88

Lower demand boundary

207.99

One important detail: the 206.88 marker is a lower chart reference, not a guaranteed price target. It sits below the highlighted demand area.

3. Bullish scenario — recovery continues

For the bulls to take control, I would look for:

  • Price to hold above the 209.69–208.10 support region.

  • A convincing break above the recent local highs around 211.00–212.00.

  • A daily close above 213.24, followed by a test of 214.60–214.63.

If price breaks and holds above 214.63, the next major area to watch is the 218.20–219.61 supply zone.

4. Bearish scenario — demand fails

The bearish scenario becomes more compelling if:

  • Price is rejected around 211–213.

  • GBP/JPY breaks below 209.69 and fails to recover.

  • A daily close below 207.99 confirms that the highlighted demand area is no longer holding.

That would expose lower support and the chart's 206.88 reference. A break below demand would invalidate the immediate bullish-recovery setup.

5. Fundamental context

There is also a reason to watch the Yen closely. On 19 October 2026, Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said underlying inflation was approaching the central bank's 2% target and indicated there could be scope for further rate increases. That could support the Yen, although the actual market reaction will depend on policy expectations and incoming data.

At the same time, GBP/JPY has recently advanced, with sterling supported by expectations of possible Bank of England tightening.

My Quantflow Dynamics verdict

GBP/JPY

Recovery attempt

Short-term: Potentially bullish while demand holds.

Broader chart structure: Still vulnerable to further downside until key resistance levels are reclaimed.

Critical level: 209.69. Holding above it helps preserve the recovery setup; losing it increases downside risk.

Confirmation level: 214.63. A sustained break would provide stronger evidence of a bullish structural reversal.
